Extra Pick-Ups and Larger Items
We can take most items on your regular pick up day. If you have a few extra bags put them next to your cart and the driver will take them. If you have a large number of bags or a bulkier item, please call our office so we can notify the driver. If you do not call, we cannot guarantee the item or items will be picked up. You will be charged for any items outside of your cart or container. Please keep in mind the carts and containers are for household garbage only. Please do not fill them with construction material, yard waste, rock or concrete, or any other heavy materials. You will be charged extra if these items are in your cart or container.
Hazardous Materials
We cannot take any hazardous materials. Some common items such as gasoline, used motor oil, chemicals, paint, fluorescent lights and paint thinner cannot be thrown in the garbage. Please contact your County Waste Management Office if you have questions about the disposal of these items or other hazardous materials.

ecycling - Inver Grove Heights residents only
We provide weekly recycling service on the same day as your rubbish pick up. Please sort your recycling into the following groups:
- aluminum cans
- newspapers, cardboard, magazines, junk mail, phone books, paper bags, office paper
- tin cans and all glass
- all plastics
We DO NOT offer recycling in St Paul. Please contact Eureka Recycling for more information on recycling in St Paul. www.eurekarecycling.org/rec_curbside.cfm
Appliance Pick Up
We can take some appliances on your regular pick up day for an additional fee. Prices vary depending on the type of appliance. Please contact the office for more information. We must be notified prior to your pick up day if you have an appliance that you need to dispose of.
We cannot take any appliances that use Freon- freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. Please see our links page for options for disposing of these items.
Yard Waste Removal
Yard waste removal is available to all service areas April - November at an additional charge per bag. Bags of yard waste can be picked up on your regular pick up day. Please call our office to schedule a pick up.
Yard waste must now be placed in compostable plastic or paper bags. We are no longer able to pick up yard waste in regular plastic yard bags.
Yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves and soft garden waste. It does not include sod, brush, dirt or branches. Check www.rethinkrecycling.com/compostablebags for the compostable bag requirements.
